Well, as predicted, Moyra and I had a very long and uncomfortable night. Poor girl was so exhausted by the time her babies came at around 4am, she could barely stand. But, once they were out, she perked up and is looking so much better! One male, one female. And here they are - fast asleep:
Great excitement in the goat shed this morning as Francesca returned from Gambia ready for kidding. And, in celebration, Alice and Cora both decided to have their babies a few days early.
As Fran and I were happily sorting things out and chatting away, the shout of a goat in labour rang through the barn. Leaping over the gate I found Alice with two little feet sticking out of her backside! Delivered without any problem - twin girls:
Not to be outdone, Cora decided that she was bored with being fat and decided to drop her twins 3 days early - 1 male, 1 female:
Hopefully that's it for today, but you never know .. The night is still young!
